Our Canary

This is one of our canaries.  We have 5 in total, all were very young when we purchased them, but now they have grown a bit older, we are starting to hear them sing.  And it's beautiful!  I took this through the wire mesh of the cage - it's amazing that none of that mesh is showing in the photo.

We have fresh snow on the hills surrounding our wee town today.  It must have fallen during the night.  It was nice to see the sun (eventually) this afternoon, although the temperature didn't get much over 6 degrees.  With the sun now set, we will see the temperature drop dramatically, and there will probably be a frost in the morning.
