~Diablo Lake again~

We all got up this morning and packed up our campsite and loaded the boat. (The worst part of camping)...
We then had a 4 3/4 hour drive home. The kids were great passengers and before we knew it we were home.
This is my favorite place to stop so I took yet another picture of it.
Diablo Lake is a reservoir in the North Cascade mountains of northern Washington State.  The lake is located between Ross Lake and Gorge Lake on the Skagit River at an elevation of 1,201 feet above sea level.
The unique, intense turquoise hue of the lake's water is attributed to the surrounding glaciers that grind rocks into a fine powder that is carried into the lake through creeks. That fine powder stays suspended in the lake, giving the water its brilliant color.
