Football Crazy

No ordinary football game this, but a World Record Attempt for the longest game, the teams aiming to play continuously for 105 hours, in aid of the Craig Gowans Memorial Fund. They hope to provide a snoezelen room in the new Sick Children's Hospital. From Saturday's kickoff they have endured blazing sunshine and pouring rain but, as you see, are still upright and scoring goals. They welcome spectators (and donations) so we took the Flumlet down to Ainslie Park Leisure Centre to watch, as he is a member of Craig's extended family.
We left after a couple of rumbles of thunder threatened another downpour, as the scoreboard read Reds 578, Whites 511. It will be probably much higher when the game ends tomorrow night.
