Week 27. The series

Just like last week except it is raining and the seagulls are swooping low.

As far as I can remember, when I was a child seagulls were sea birds and they didn't come inland. Their distinctive cry belonged to beaches, ports and ferry journeys. But there are huge numbers of them in Oxford. I suppose they came here up the Thames, via its tidal reaches in London, and find Oxford's rivers and canal, streams and tributaries, ponds and lakes a comfortable home.

Thank you for enjoying yesterday’s. I am inundated at the moment and not commenting. I’ll be back when things ease up.
