D.N.A. analysis has shown that there is a genetic link between American Indian and Japanese people. It is believed that circa 20,000 B.C.E., Jomon and Yayoi tribes (from whom modern Japanese people are descended)crossed an ice bridge from Siberia to North America. It seems that Arthur has inherited some archetypal memory of this lineage having apparently drawn Kazuko atop a totem-pole.
