Unexpected visitors and phone calls meant a very late visit to Blip today, so hope to catch up with everyone tomorrow.

The deed has been done (and with my blessing!)  The wildlife garden has had a short back and sides and the clover and daisies have been mown down for now.  It was becoming impossible to enter the area without fear of stepping on a bee or other insect, so the grass has been cut back.

However, I think you'll agree, that there's still plenty of opportunity for wildlife in this area with the flowers that are left and the clover etc will soon grow again.
