Regents Park Poppy

"Gleams from remote worlds visit the soul in sleep."

I was reminded of these words by the poet Shelley when I spotted this beautiful poppy while running round the back of Regents Park.

Poppy is a symbol of remembrance but also the symbol of Morpheus the Greek god of dreams. Morpheus lived in a world of dreams with complete disregard to the temporal traditional world.

This strikingly beautiful poppy, full of strength growing in a field of weeds speaks to me of the power of the unconventional and the power of dreams.

Beauty and strength are all around us even in the most unlikely places, just waiting to be recognised. Hope you spotted them today.
