A slice of Lesley's life

My boy

I find it very hard to take even half-decent pictures of J. Mainly I shall blame the enormous time pressure I am under with his half-life patience before grimacing, sticking his tongue out or covering his face with his hands. This morning I think he was too distracted thinking about the piano recital he was about to give. Cruel to take advantage, I know.

Up very early to head back down to London town in time to drop A off at her rehearsal and take J for his piano festival. Happily, with a little help we were both able to go and hear J play which was lovely not least because it is the first time he has done so. The idea of the festival was for those about to undertake exams to have an opportunity to play their pieces in front of others to experience a little of the stress involved and also in front of an examiner who gave them all individual feedback. She was marvellous and did her job to perfection giving them all some useful hints and tips and lots of encouragement. Was particularly interesting to hear other grades (up to 6 were represented).

After an early start, a drive and a busy morning the afternoon was mainly spent lying down.
