Lens Colours

The glass in photographic lenses seems to be a little bit magic. When light from my desk lamp hits it in certain ways, strange coloured patterns appear. This is the front of a Sigma 120-400 telephoto zoom. The reflection artifacts on show are exactly as shot except for some output sharpening. To me they look a little bit like amoeba or fire flies.
