Bright eyed and bushy tailed

I only caught sight of the young ones on the garage roof today and only this one ventured out far enough for me to get a few snaps - the lack of evening sunshine probably put them off. I was happier than usual to get this shot as the rest of the day had been a bit of a photographic catastrophe - two separate batches of insect macros yielded zero usable frames. I'm blaming it on the new glasses I picked up yesterday which are taking a bit of getting used to!
