On the way home

This afternoon we went to the thanksgiving service for an old friend of ours who died suddenly a couple of weeks ago. They had their motorhome packed and were ready to go on holiday at the time and what happened was totally unexpected (a severe head injury caused by a sudden epileptic fit, from which he couldn't recover). He had suffered from epilepsy since childhood. He was a kind and gentle man, and we used to go to his and his wife's home for our Bible study group when we lived in Chichester many years ago. It was a great service and the two people who led it did a really good job.

After the service we went to visit my Dad for a few hours and had some tea with him. This photo was taken near Arundel on our way home. It's very difficult to take decent photos from a moving car!
