Fox Hunting

Discussions are about to take place regarding changes to the Fox Hunting laws in England and Wales.   Little two year old O took Woody (from ToyStory) to go hunting for yesterday’s fox in his Great Grandma’s garden but any fox found would be considerably safer than one hunted by fox hounds in the countryside. He was disappointed not to find one but the fox was probably sleeping in his den in a garden up the road.

The reason why yesterday I wrote that the fox wasn’t really welcome is because apparently a family of foxes have caused a great amount of damage to a local garden.  I used to enjoy watching a family of foxes play in a previous garden although it wasn’t so  amusing watching them dig up the potatoes and play ‘football’ with them.  We often see foxes near our home now but unlike urban foxes they have the freedom to hunt for their natural prey in the local fields and woods.  However recent press reports have indicated that some foxes can be quite fearless and even aggressive towards humans.
