Remembered all my equipment today, so was able to take most shots in focus. Main hazard was faithful dog, sitting at my feet, leaning on the tripod.

Stunning afternoon and there was only me, the dog and a birdwatcher to be seen on Arnside Knott. For those of you in the south, imagine Box Hill  beside the sea, with nobody about, and you get the idea. For those of you further north, you'll be used to having the countryside to yourself.

According to C4 News the Treasury didn't bother to work out how many people would be negatively affected by the budget because it was "too hard." The Institute of Fiscal Studies, who run the same software as the Treasury managed to work it out, though.

I could write a short book, after all I've read and listened to today but instead ....a distraction from George's budget:-

And the Hadron Collider also has its classical moments.
