Going Home

I have been quite remiss and will have to back blip... Here's a good point to start back though.
Last Friday I took a photo of Dr John John Hinds, aka The Flying Doctor. aka The Traveling Doctor.... He traveled behind motorcycle races at speed of up to 200mph to ensure instant care should they fall. Two minutes later he hit a pole at high speed.... and there was no traveling doctortohelp him......He died the next day. Many riders dropped out of their races the following day as the doc was not there to tend to them..!!!

Going home..... This evening at every bridge I passed as far as Newry an ambulance waited in salute to Dr John on his last journey north.
Flanked by Garda outriders Dr Fred McSorley lead his friend home with hundreds of bikers in quiet, respectful procession behind the hearse of the man who saved so many lives. John's partner, Janet Acheson, accompanied Dr Fred as pillion passenger.
