Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Day 2

One of our "important" camp traditions with the kids is to go to "Morning Beach" on Galiano Island-- it's a lovely sand crescent after a little walk through beautiful forest on the east side --hence , the morning sun.  When we first got there we were all alone  - it never gets "crowded.  Spent a long time IN the water...  the extras are Oskar, and 2 swimmers.... .....to the left of these pictures in the strait of /Georgia, still looking smokey-hazy - is this how it's going to be all summer?
Ice cream on the way back, and showers (washing that long hair is a production and does require some water...)_ some late lunch and "quiet time" which was anything BUT quiet (but at last I didn't move for an hour) and later instead of the beach scavenger hunt (i loved the great suggestions for these hunts from yesterday!) they decided they just wanted to mess around on the beach-  more swimming  - it got hotter, and the air is still not good.  So many water restrictions.   Oskar wanted to make cookies instead of swimming.... Hot dogs for dinner.   More word games , and catch phrase- I can't believe they play it so much and are so good.--and we finally for the first time succumbed to a dvd.-  Kung fu Panda.  Cute. They are getting along pretty well.... but I'm done for the day.  :-)
