Sun Strike

A true Murchison day today.  Everything was frozen solid and there was heavy fog this morning.  As we headed out to The Red barn for brunch (a necessary part of any Sebastian visit) we drove out of the grey haze and into bright blue skies.

The ground was till frozen in sheltered patches, and I found this feather with it's edge still covered in ice crystals.  I admit I did put it up on  to a fence post to photograph it against the amazing sky.  Colour untouched though, all I've done to this is crop it!

of course by the time we came home the sky was equally blue in Murchison and it has been a gorgeous day.
