Out of place

Quiet house today. Chris has arrived in Cape Town, where he's coaching for the next 10 days and Jack left this morning for his year 6 residential. They all looked very excited when they were waved off this morning. A lovely way for them to celebrate the end of primary school.

We have a couple of poppies growing by the side of the gate. The plants look untidy but I love the flowers, as shortlived as they are, so I leave them.
