Election Material- Please Expedite

I finally got my absentee ballot in the mail on Saturday, after sending out the request for it more than a month ago.
My roommate and several of my friends had the same problem, including the girl who introduced me to blipfoto.
I can't help but think that there might be some kind of prejudice against college students at the polls. We all seem to be Obama supporters. Now the soonest we can send out our ballots is the day before the election, which means that they won't wind up counting for anything.
It makes me upset when people who try to fulfill their patriotic duty are kept from doing so.
