Muttley's Musings

Waking up the town!

After a day of watching trains yesterday, today was the day for riding them. As it was the main day of the 150th anniversary celebrations, all the steamable locos, together with the two guest loco's were all assembled at Tywyn Wharf station for a photo call.  It took a while to organise the locos on the different tracks and lining them up for the best photographic effect, but it was great to see, hear and smell the engines.

Towards the end of the line up it was decided to try and get all the locos to blow their whistles in celebration. It certainly woke the town up.

Later in the day there was a wedding train (see extra), and then in the evening there was a special double header train with the two oldest locos, No1 Talyllyn and No 2 Dolgoch pulling it in the to evening (see extra)
