Hey busy bee!

Went to Manchester to see a live performance. On my arrival, I found this sign, having no idea why the recipients are referred to as bees then.

Happened to know that the worker bee is a symbol of Manchester, where I actually found this sign, representing industry of the city. Since I found this sign in Manchester I've been thinking why the recipients of this are addressed as a bee, which has been resolved now. Interesting!
