The Urn at Haddo House

A morning of chatting, to Auntie Catriona and Auntie Diane in New Zealand first, then to Great Grandmama afterwards.

We then had a bbq in the garden for lunch, mainly because we had heard it may rain in the afternoon, then we headed to Haddo House to make the most of the warm, sunny weather. We enjoyed our strolls through woodland, up the hill to the urn, past the ducks (feeding them with duck food we bought in the cafe) and lastly to the adventure playground. Kids did amazingly well, not moaning until we were rushing them back to the car to see if we could get there before the cafe shut at 5. We made it, so coffee, juice and frubes purchased and we sat outside to enjoy them as the cafe closed behind us.

Home to the lovely aroma of lamb korma cooking in the slow cooker. Kids had crackers, cheese and salad for their tea and are now watching some tv before bed.

Really, really lovely day. Hope there are plenty more to come during the Summer holidays!
