Exploding Wave

It was the time all the photo experts tell you to avoid shooting - harsh, mid-day, overhead, sun - but it was when I was at the Playa La Ropa watching the big waves crashing ashore, so I shot away regardless. I laid down on the hot black rock adjacent to this one to brace my camera for a longish exposure and waited for a good wave. I could only stand the sweating for a short period, but fortunately that was long enough to get this rather nice exploding wave.
