Gormley in Florence

Anthony Gormley is exhibiting some 100 sculptures as part of his exhibition "Human" being held At Forte Belvedere, Florence.

We made our way to the Foret by taxi, not so fortunate on the way back, we walked down very steep slope

His statues are simple with profound messages. They take advantage of the wide spaces of the Forte overlooking Florence

This group of 12 statues is entitled "critical mass"

These 12 body forms have been cast 5 times to produce a total of 60 that can be exhibited in any orientation

We are very keen to see the Gormley statues in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia

To date we have not, so we're so pleased to see this wonderful exhibition in Florence
