The Man and the Dog contemplate Dove Hole.

Today we tackled a 6 mile round trip along Dovedale to Milldale. No mean feat as the Man and I had been up with The Dog all night with a jippy tummy (The Dog, not The Man). But Jim rallied as the day wore on and there was a decided improvement in his energy levels as we tackled Pickerings Tor, the Straits and Lovers Leap on the way back. The Stepping Stones were a step too far though, so we returned along the less traveled East path under the auspices of Thorpe Cloud. The threatened rain never really amounted to anything and we ended a glorious day having a cheeky pint in the pub on the way home (albeit with slightly aching knees!)..
