Post-bath snack

Dratted neighbours kept us awake past two then I was up at 6 with Matthew - thankfully back to bed for a bit after breakfast.

Another enormous row over sitting in the highchair for lunch resolved by saying he had to wait for me to finish my lunch if he wanted milk and a story before nap or he could go up with daddy instead. Which he did - crying all the way until he was in the cot. Most odd. So after we finished our lunch we ordered him a high toddler seat more like a grown up chair and we'll see if that helps. And since we were buying things from ikea we also bought him a bed and assorted bedclothes to go with it - all due to arrive next Sunday.

After nap we made him have a bath - which he has also suddenly started resisting again. I got in too but even then it was a case of standing him in the water and washing him under protest. He did enjoy sitting round in a towel afterwards though :)

Much of the afternoon was punctuated by frustrated wailing - anyone would think he was the overtired one, not us.
