Fairmead Bottom in July

Today Zeus09s mum and I - and Zeus of course - took our usual walk in Epping Forest.  After days of sunshine, the sky was overcast, promising much needed rain.  I spotted these cardinal beetles getting together at Fairmead  Bottom: not exactly spot on focusing but there was a VERY stiff breeze!
An extra today shows some of the wildflowers currently blooming: Ragwort, Rosebay Willowherb and Cow parsley - or Keck as I knew it as a child.

In other news: the Wimbledon men's singles final ended in defeat for Roger Federer, beaten by Novak Djokovic - very disappointed, as it seems, were the majority of  the Centre Court crowd!
