Butterfly bounty

Sunday 12th July 2015       (backblip)

After an extremely wet start the rain cleared away by mid afternoon so we decided to have a trip out & hope for the best. So pleased we did ...... the sun came out & it was lovely :-)

We took a ride to Whisby Nature Reserve ...... it's a lovely place to visit.

So pleased we did ...... we saw lots of different butterflies, Damsel & Dragonflies ........ & a first for us ....... a Crossbill ...... unfortunately it was a bit too far away to get a decent shot ..... but at least we've seen one! We also caught a glimpse of a pair of Kingfishers ...... but only a glimpse as they were flying off! :-))

Today's Blip is a Gatekeeper butterfly :-)

The Extras are a Large Skipper & a Damsel Fly (don't know which one though) ..... hope you'll take a look :-)

Had some great news too ....... Youngest son has been promoted to Senior Manager! Well done him ..... he deserves it! :-))

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments & stars on Saturday's Kestrel blip ..... chuffed you liked it :-)

Thanks so much for dropping by :-)
