Sgwarnog: In the Field

Change

Returning from Wales, and the customary change at Manchester Oxford Road.

The laminated wood roof looks quite contemporary, but dates from 1960 and contributes to the grade II listed status of the station. The use of wood helped reduce the load on the viaduct which this elevated station is perched upon.

And I seem to have accidentally arrived at a Mono Monday at last, albeit in an asynchronous fashion.
