Summer?

Rain can be a great boon for photographers as it adds atmosphere and helps to separate the layers of scenery disappearing into the (near) distance. Well, no point in photographing the far distance in the rain as it is out of sight.

Sunlight can add warm colours to a scene, making it more atttractive but seldom puts in an appearance when you want it.

So. . .
. . . the wet scene was captured around 3pm. The hint of sunlight was snapped at 8pm and then carefully introduced to the former.

The result is nothing special but better than the early scene on its own.
