The long road west

This is the long and winding road which leads to the north-west coast of Scotland. In the distance you can see Loch Maree, and to the right is Slioch, one of 282 Munros.
We have been visiting friends in Gairloch in Wester Ross. Gairloch is a small harbour town on the west coast overlooking the island of Skye.
This shot was taken in the fading light and in between one of the many rain showers we encountered.
Unfortunately this part of the world is not blessed with reliable or fast internet connections, so my blips for this trip are making a late appearance.
