Meet Julio

Julio is a fine furry hamster who was mistaken to be a Chinchilla.  He was adopted in Mexico and drove up to California while riding on the dashboard of his new owner - who insisted he was a Chinchilla.  When he got to his sister's house he had other disruptions and he came to be under the care of a friend of mine.  Of course she knew he was a hamster, being of hamster experience herself.  He posed for me on her lap today.  He is friendly, conversational, and certainly not a Chinchilla.  Although, surviving a trip on the dash of a car traveling to California from Mexico, makes him special to me.
