Blue and yellow

A wonderfully sunny day today, and another pleasing colour combination, or at least I think so. Primula florindae, the Himalayan Cowslip, is one of the last of the primulas to flower here and a lovely primrose yellow, though we have copper and red forms too.

Here it's growing in front of the glaucous foliage of Rhododendron 'Alison Johnstone',  a Rh cinnabarinum hybrid.
