Busker and a fake beach

This is Benjamin, a professional cellist with a rather unusual cello (Mike might appreciate that one). He started playing at age 4, is a grad of Washington's Duke Ellington School of Music, and was performing at one of our metro stations. Quite good, the kid.

I ran into him while going to check out a different type of installation: an indoors beach of about 10,000 square feet, where the 'ocean' consists of nearly a million translucent plastic balls, sponsored by the National Building Museum (see extra). Weird is about all I can say about it, though it attracted a ton of people (2-hr waiting line to get into the space for a dip).
