POO'S PERIODICAL

On this kingfisher you can see the rain-drops on its head and some on the tail.
Evidence of some harsh winter weather coming straight from the Antactic. Its been very cold !!

However "the mail must go through" as they say - whoever THEY are - and we have yet another very pretty little bird out and about feeding.

Its roost gives me the opportunity to speak about natural history in its purest sense - which this does not qualify for as you can see the " hand of man " clearly evident in the pipe its sitting on - A No-No for pure Natural History.
Oh well its another one for my old mate Paul Kennedy who I can advise everyone now that he died this morning. My condolances to all the family and others - Rest in peace Paul!
