A couple of cranes

Mr M and I were driving near our home this morning and I spotted these birds in the pasture. We turned around so I could take some photos - he said they were cranes.  Using whatbird.com, I determined that that is exactly what they are - sandhill cranes.  I've never seen them around here before, but apparently they aren't uncommon, and it's not uncommon for them to be seen in a field.  

Later in the day we both donated blood, then did some shopping.  We're looking at new smartphones but need to do a little more research.
