The Fat Man of Maldon

Little drive to Maldon today with mum and dad and we avoided the showers that were forecast!

Went down a couple of the little alleyways and came across this memorial to the Fat Man of Maldon - fascinating story with more details on this link http://www.itsaboutmaldon.co.uk/edwardbright/  and we think there's an obesity crisis in the country now!   Funny how the memorial is not of him but the bet that others made about how many men they could fit in one of his coats!!
