Not Beside the Seaside

This caught my eye on a recent trip to the beach, but I had another shot to blip that day, so brought it home with me, waiting for a rainy day.

Well, today was that rainy day, so here it is. I love the way it has broken to show its insides and the delicate spiral.

I did consider editing it to lighten it a little, but since it is a very dull and grey day, I felt it's darker tone more accurately reflected that, so I've left it as shot.
