Crocosmia

I am having a difficult day but have not been in the state of mind to talk or think about it for the moment so am just keeping myself busy. So a lot happened including cutting a hedge and reading a dissertation, picking whitecurrants and washing up. I am off for a shower now.

This is Crocosmia Lucifer - a fancy hybridised version of montbretia which I love to see growing wild on the south west coast of Ireland, blooming on the edge of bog land and at the foot of fuschia hedges and most anywhere...
This is a lot taller than montbretia and is a bright scarlet...
