Day through a lens

Museum Alarm

Our trip to the British Museum was interrupted by a Fire Alarm.

We waited in the disabled 'safe area' through the duration of the alarm, which turned out to be a false alarm.

The alarm was eventually silenced (it was VERY loud) and we waited until the crowds were let back in.

This worked to our advantage - they let the school parties in first, and as soon as the lifts were back working we went downstairs and visited the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles which had earlier been mobbed with crowds!
