The Tin Man

This statue stands on the main traffic island in the centre of Brownhills. in the West Midlands.  It's official title is "The Brownhills Miner", but known locally as the Tin Man.  It was sculpted by John McKenna and erected in May 2006.  It stands over 12 metres high and weighs. 5000 kg.  The statue  is a tribute to the generations of miners from the area.
