Site of old local/neighborhood most very favorite drive in for the best milk shakes ever, hamburgers and fries - for the first time since it came down in 2007 the fence was open and so I of course walked in - foundation still stands.  Found this quote which so aptly captures what is gone and will never be replaced.  

It isn't just the food, fans say; it is Daly's ungentrified ambience and the fact that folks from all generations and means -- from toddlers to grandparents, the well-heeled to the budget-conscious -- feel welcome.
