Gayfield Square doorway

I took the opportunity to have a walk while the sun was shining today.

There are so many fab Georgian doorways in Edinburgh, however, I think this one in Gayfield Square is quite a nice example.

Following on from the success of the first new town (started in 1766), later additions were add after 1800, including the Gayfield Estate (Gayfield Square) designed in 1807.
