Paris Love Locks

A love that won't die...

For those who have not heard of the love locks, here's the scoop. A couple writes their names or initials on a padlock - be it a pretty pink bike lock or a heavy duty brick of steel - locks it to the railing and throws the key into the Seine in declaration of their undying love.

I've heard that there are two bridges in Paris with the locks and you must be careful which bridge you declare your undying love as Pont des Arts is for the committed love while Pont de l'Archeveche is for your lover.

No wonder the latter one has hardly any space for new locks whereas the first one has plenty of room.......
