Lake Maggiore

I think I'm a little lake-d out. A week around Lac Léman in May, Lake Como a couple of weeks ago, Lakes Lucerne and Lugano yesterday and now Lake Maggiore today as I visited Locarno on my journey back north to Basel. It's such a shame because the views really are stunning. Too much water at once I guess!

There wasn't much to Locarno that I hadn't seen before. Lakeside resorts all kind of merge into one after a while. A quick Aperol spritz, a cocktail I was introduced to during my time in Switzerland, and it was back to Basel on the train - with a mini panettone from a local baker for the journey!
