Balls

Takoyaki ... a ball-shaped Japanese dumpling or a savory pancake made of batter and octopus (called "tako") inside. It is cooked on the special takoyaki pan (molded), filled with diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger and green onion. On top of it is covered with some sauce, mayonnaise, seaweed flakes and dried-bonito shavings... it sounds too complicated to imagine but tastes unbelievably good!

My parents and I went out in the afternoon and on the way home we popped in a stall and shared one boat of these... lovely!
