Sciollam na móna

I love this place. Where else, in the space of a few hours, could you:
* have a chat with Graham Norton over the olive stall in Bantry market (looking very relaxed and well and so charming)
* attend a first rate book reading and discussion in a packed Bantry Library (Belinda McKeon 'Tender')
* listen to a mature chap with a ukelele play (somewhat incessently) a large repetoire of Beatles' songs in the middle of the square
* don your wellies on the way home and wade into the bog to admire the asphodels ( a real golden carpet, see extra)
* wait patiently while a flock of sheep, ram, ewes and lambs sauntered by to their new pasture (another extra)
* eat said olives for supper whilst silage making goes on in the next field
* contemplate a late evening swim (rather a fresh wind)

Son#1 is making a flying visit tomorrow. Backblips may be in order. Happy weekend, especially to you teachers who finished today.
