Northumberland Coast

So difficult to choose a photo from today's clutch, so I plumped for this one even though there's not much detail in it.  We cycled along the coastal path from Berwick towards Lindisfarne (Holy Island). When the tide is out like this, it leaves a vast expanse of sand and the island becomes accessible twice a day between tides via a causeway. The Northumberland tourist board call the county "The Secret Kingdom" Its well-named when you see these unspoiled empty beaches but it would be lovely for more people to know about it and appreciate it....but not too many ;-)
