Farewell to Tom Watson

Tom Watson, an American who has won the British Open five times, played his last round at the Open today (at the age of 65). He and his son (who had caddied for him) posed for the TV cameras on the stone bridge on the 18th fairway at the ancient course of St. Andrews. Many hundreds of emotional onlookers cheered his walk to the last green.  (It was nearly dark, at 10:00 pm, due to a three hour rain delay in the morning.)
