Newman Hilly 5

Tonight was the 25th anniversary run of our clubs 'Newman Hilly 5' race, so there were commemorative T-Shirts for all entrants.
Being an Elvis fan, and a runner, this T-Shirt was one I had to have.

Now for the explanation if you want to stick with it?

The race is part of our ELVIS season.
There are 7 clubs that compete in this. My club is 'ILFORD', and there are 6 others from the East London area.
ELVIS stands for...

East
London
V (Roman numeral '5' as each race is 5m or 5k)
Interclub
Series.

The Newman Hilly is so named because we had a club member die young from cancer 26 years ago called Peter Newman. The race is a Hilly one so the 'Newman Hilly' was formed in his honour, and it is Ilfords host run. Each of the 7 clubs host a run.
