Sempervivum

Sempervivum - Sir William Lawrence (strange name - I wonder who he was)

This succulent in one of my pots has never flowered before.  I have blipped the plant previously a couple of times as it has rosettes of green chubby leaves with sharp spiky maroon tips and looks good all year round.  This flower spike is about 6" tall and is covered in buds.  All the buds are covered in tiny hairs.
